The museum has its origins in the donation the maestro made to Malaga City Council in September 2005 of a total of 110 works among them oil paintings, pencil and wax drawings, watercolours, sketches and studies, covering the period between 1936 and 2006. More than 70 years of creative work.
The museum will be housed in the house where the sculptor Pedro de Mena lived and died, right in the historic old town centre. The museum will bring together all the stages of the painter. His early career from 1936 to 1956 when the young Malaguenian painter became famous as a portrait artist of high Spanish society of the period. The sixties and the seventies cemented Revello´s reputation as a great portrait artist and painter of women. From the 1980´s on he initiated a new period immersing himself in the plastic arts.
