  • Affordability: For many people, a holiday can be a difficult expense these days. For families, it can be even more difficult to raise the money for a good, relaxing holiday. When it comes to Lanzarote holidays you can get some great deals, which means that taking that well-deserved family break to a beautiful destination becomes far more viable.
  • Short flight times: If you have younger kids, the last thing you want is to be stuck on a flight for 8-9 hours or more. However, in order to get to a stunning, warm destination with pristine beaches, this is often what is required. With Lanzarote, however, you will only face a flight time of around 4 ½ hours, making it far more feasible for the kids.
  • Great climate all year round: Like the other Canary Islands, Lanzarote boasts a great climate all year around, which means that you can enjoy your family holiday here at any time. So, if you would rather avoid the hustle and bustle of the summer season, you can come later on in the year and still get to enjoy great weather.
  • Family attractions: You will be able to enjoy a relaxing yet fun-filled family holiday in Lanzarote. The pristine beaches are perfect for soaking up the sunshine as the kids’ splash around in the sea. There are also many family-oriented attractions, such as the Lanzarote Aquarium, the Guinate Tropical Park and Penguin Paradise and the Timanfaya National Park.
  • Island hop: When you take a family holiday to Lanzarote, you can also take a quick ferry ride over the neighbouring Fuerteventura, which takes around 20 minutes or so. The kids will love the chance to get out on the ferry and explore yet another island, and you will be able to enjoy the opportunity to explore the famous sand dunes of Fuerteventura.

These are just a few of the reasons why Lanzarote is an excellent choice for family holidays. The island is only 60km long and 20km wide, but despite its small size it is a vibrant, stunning destination with plenty to see and do.
