Where to stay for your golfing holiday

The good news is that Tenerife offers excellent golf courses and facilities all over the island, which means you will be able to find the perfect location for your golfing holiday. Some of the areas you may want to consider for your golfing trip include:

  • Golf del SurThis is a popular resort among golf enthusiasts and is ideal if you plan to do little more than play golf and laze around the hotel pool for most of your trip. Just a few miles from the airport in the South of Tenerife, this resort offers excellent championship golf courses along with a great range of 4-5 star hotels in which to relax.
  • Amarilla Golf: Designed by Donald Steel, the Amarilla golf course is an excellent choice among those who want something a little more challenging while enjoying the opportunity to relax in an unspoilt area. With stylish villas and hotels within easy reach, you can enjoy a comfortable, relaxing stay while enjoying world class golf facilities.
  • Golf Las Americas: If you want to enjoy a great golfing break along with the opportunity to spend time in a lively area with vibrant nightlife, Playa De Las Americas is the ideal choice. The Las American golf course is an 18-hole championship course that has hosted both amateur and professional tournaments.
  • Los CristianosIf you are looking for a laid back area of southern Tenerife, where there is more than just golf to enjoy but where you will not be bothered by late night revellers, Los Cristianos could be ideal. This area offers a peaceful location within a picturesque fishing village, with easy access to great golfing facilities.
  • North Tenerife: Although most golfing facilities are in the south of the island, due to the better climate and heavier tourism, you can also enjoy a golf break in the north of Tenerife. The Real Club de Golf Par dates back to the 1930s and offers wonderful views as well as excellent golfing facilities for those staying in the north of Tenerife.

No matter which part of Tenerife you visit, you will always find golf facilities within easy reach. All you need to do is decide what other facilities are important to you, as this will enable you to make a more informed decision with regards to the part of the island you stay in.
